Core Materials & Finishers
BWR (Boiling Water Resistant)
BWR plywood is constructed using synthetic phenol-formaldehyde resin, making it resistant to moisture and humidity for kitchen cabinet structures. It withstands exposure to hot water and damp environments without easily delaminating or warping over time.
BWP (Boiling Water Proof)
BWP plywood (marine grade) is top-tier water-resistant plywood designed to survive direct water contact and prolonged soaking in boiling water. It is ideal for under-sink cabinets, base units, and wet areas where moisture exposure is highest.
HDHMR (High Density High Moisture Resistance)
HDMR is a high-density, green-core engineered wood board compressed under high pressure with specialized moisture-resistant resins. It offers a smooth surface finish, high screw-holding capacity, and excellent resistance to termites and fungus.
Birch Ply
Birch plywood is a premium hardwood ply known for its multi-ply construction, uniform grain structure, and light, clean aesthetic. It provides exceptional strength and edge-stability, often used exposed in modern Scandinavian-style cabinetry.
Laminated Shutters
Decorative high-pressure laminate (HPL) sheets pressed onto core boards, available in matte, gloss, and textured woodgrain finishes. They are highly durable, scratch-resistant, economical, and easy to maintain for daily kitchen use.
Acrylic Finish
Acrylic is a premium high-gloss polymer sheet pasted onto MDF or HDMR boards, creating a seamless, mirror-like reflective finish. It gives kitchens a luxurious, contemporary look that retains color vibrancy and reflectivity over years.
PU Shutter
PU coating involves applying liquid polyurethane paint over shutters, allowing seamless painted edges without visible edge bands. It comes in matte or high-gloss shades, offering a smooth finish with water, heat, and chemical resistance.
Vintage Shape
Vintage shutters feature classic recessed center panels or framed shaker designs that add architectural depth and traditional charm. They are typically coated with PU paint, PVC membrane foil, or natural wood veneers to suit timeless or farmhouse themes.
Glass
Glass shutters feature frosted, tinted, fluted, or clear glass inserts framed inside wooden or metal borders for upper wall cabinets. They allow subtle visibility of crockery while protecting items from grease and dust accumulation.
Aluminium Profile Shutter
Aluminium profile shutters consist of slim anodized metal frames holding glass, ceramic, or acrylic panels for a handle-less design. They provide lightweight durability, rust resistance, and a modern industrial aesthetic for overhead or lift-up cabinets.
